What has happened this month?
Unfortunately, a very low income this month as to the fact that I’ve decided to spend more time in the company and not having as many hours teaching at the højskole.
Despite that I still had a bit of a savings rate = 23%.
I am also currently being paid from another job through my company which I’m finding a little hard to track in these updates. Because equipment/gear and monthly fees are still to be subtracted before myself paying tax and receiving them on my bank account.
I have to work out how to include this income in the future. At the moment it’s a pretty small sum but hopefully will increase soon.
Down to something positive!!
I decided to do a post on Facebook where I presented my newly started company and about the challenges of doing Facebook marketing yourself while being inexperienced. You can waste a lot of money trying. This is exactly what I’ve chosen to help companies out with through techniques and experience I have learned from one of the best Facebook advertisers in Denmark.
The course also includes material about mindset, business practices, and the psychology behind how to sell. Quite interesting stuff. You see it everywhere now that you know the theory behind ha ha. A whole new area to learn about and a whole different world.
That post has given some interesting companies that are interested in looking at their advertisement / trying it out from scratch.
Hopefully I’ll be able to make this an income in the future and the goal for now is earning 30,000 Danish kroner per month when we hit New Year 2021.
Here we go!
Investments
The portfolio increased by 3.3% which was lovely we are probably going to see a job very soon. All in all slowly increasing and I’m not taking notice of the ups and downs that much.
I chose to invest a big part of my savings into the index fund as I’m still moving money around. Quite excited to see the total amount invested increasing a lot at this point of time.
Hopefully the income will be able to follow in the near future so the savings rate can increase and the total amount invested will also be on the incline.
Tiny House progress
The weather is getting a bit warmer so it’s nice to live in the tiny house at the moment as we don’t need to heat the house up at all. Now that’s a cheap heating bill! Sunlight is enough to heat up the house and we even get up to +25° on the really warm sunny days. Open windows are needed!
We have also this month done a presentation at the school where we presented the tiny house build project and invited all the students down to see the house which is quite interesting and fun to see their excitement when they see the house.
I had a thought the other day that one day we could do presentations around the country about our tiny house built and what it’s like to live in a tiny house as the interest is so great from people we know and people we don’t know.
And many people asking a wide variety of questions, even from people not interested in living tiny, which gives the picture that it’s a broad spectrum that may be interested in a presentation.
Who knows we may give it a go sometime and symbolically pay off a bit of the house with the income!
- Updates on the tiny house build from start to finish will be shared on the Facebook page.
Danish readers can join the group ‘Det Lille Potentiale, Tiny House’.
I hope your savings rate was steady and high this month!
