How was 2020? Goals for 2021

2020 is now a time of the past and it’s time to see how it went.

I’m a big fan of new years assessment of whether the year has been full of steps towards your personal and professional goals and seeing where there is room for improvement.

A new home

The year of our Tiny House build. What an adventure, challenge, experience. Stressful, enjoyable, a relief, amazing experience. Love the fact that we’ve put every part together ourselves.

And we’re actually very glad it turned out the way it did. You’re really are uncertain what you yourself are capable of when sitting on a sofa deciding whether to build or purchase a Tiny House.

Luckily it turned out great!

A new car, a new city, two cats, new jobs

When thinking about it this year has been filled with new changes that normally are big changes by themselves.
It’s been a hectic rollercoaster with many decisions on the way but that’s part of doing things the non-traditional way!

We’re heading in the right direction I feel and the many changes there has been this year all aline with the fact of wanting to live more simplistically and with more financial freedom in the future.

Were the 2020 goals met?

Goal : Invest 30.000 dkk in 2020 Managed 117.578 dkk
Average savings rate over 50 %. Managed 65,7 % (months without income excluded)
Land a full-time job Started a company instead!
Finish the Tiny House build completely. Very close. Are you ever completely finished :D?
Thriving Willow: 8.000 visitors and 10.000 sessions. 9261 users – 11.797 sessions.

Blog stats 2020:

2019 – 794 users – 1100 sessions.

2020 – 9261 users – 11.797 sessions.

A big increase from last year which is lovely to see! And which also means the site managed the 10X goal of 8000 users and 10.000 sessions.

Managed to rank very very very well for the two most read pages on the site this year which is great to see. I’ll be optimizing more posts for next year as it only makes sense to write posts that people are looking for answers to or inspiration about, I feel.
We’ll see how it goes.
